In loving memory of Esther C. Hasenour of Saint Anthony, Indiana, who departed this world on January 26, 2025 at the age of 92. Esther leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Merkel and Mary Merkel (Sander); her husband Justin Hasenour; her son-in-law Frank Laux; her siblings, James Merkel (Virginia), Marita Hasenour (Vincent), Joan Hasenour (Maurice), Ambrose, Melvin Merkel and Sandra Stetter; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Merkel, Thomas Sermersheim and Louis Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Hasenour (Anne), Mary Ann Stenftenagel (James), Joseph Hasenour (Susan), Antonia Laux of Celestine, IN and Juan Hasenour (Michelle) of Terre Haute, IN; her siblings, Robert Merkel of Huntingburg, IN, Imelda Sermersheim of Newburgh, IN, Magdalen Buechlein (Ronald) of Jasper, IN, Clarissa Patterson of West Baden, IN and Ronald Merkel (Judy) of Alfordsville, IN; and also Charlie Stetter of Huntingburg, IN.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (4444 S Ohio St, St Anthony, IN 47575). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
