He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel and Violet; and his brother Glassburn. He is survived by: his wife Helene (Janczyk); his children, Janera (Levi Johnson), Seth and Jenny (Jacob Then); and his grandchildren, Madison (Jason Miller), Isabella, Cassidy and Brooks.
