He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Greer and Phavilla Greer (Elliott); his siblings, John Greer, Martha Thompson (Orris) and Bessie Aldridge (Pete); his brothers-in-law, Michael Courtney and Sam Goldsperry; his nieces, Kim Guy and Jessie Danielle Miller; and his nephew Joe David Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Courtney; his siblings, Pat Walls (Liston) and Mary Goldsperry; and his son Donnie Parvin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
