She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward E. Hamler and Gertrude Hamler (Powell); her husband Robert E. Cowell; and her siblings, Jay Lowell Hamler and Ladonna M. Walter (Wilbur Ray).
She is survived by: her children, Bobbette L. Deardorff (Wayne Clark), Linda J. Speler and Larry G. Cowell (Jan); her grandchildren, Angela Turner (Jason), Douglas Deardorff (Jennifer), Lee Ann Coppes (Stephen), Samuel Speler (Staci), Leah Tucker (Brian), Lydia Speler, Jordan Otsu (Chris), Alex Akers (Zac) and Christopher Cowell (Mia); and her brother-in-law James Leroy Cowell. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
