Matthew Griebenow Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Griebenow of Russiaville, Indiana, who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 31, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandmother Beverly Griebenow; and his aunts, Eileen Saks and Diana Fletcher. He is survived by: his parents, Brian Griebenow (Angelique) and Sharon Barrett (Jawert); his wife Lauren Griebenow (Groothuis); his daughter Eleanor; his siblings, Stephani Paddack (Kyle), Zachary Barrett (Maddy) and Andrew Barrett; his grandparents, Gerda and Clay Fletcher; his parents-in-law, Jeff Groothuis (Carol) and Mika Fujii; his stepsisters, Jennifer Nelson, Sarah Smith and Carrie Marley; and his close friend Willow. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to go into a fund for Eleanor's college.
