He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger William Evans and Julia Margaret Evans Welcher (Hoover); his stepfather James Welcher; and his brother-in-law James Beasley. He is survived by: his wife Caroll Evans; his children, Angela Newton (Mike), Roger Evans (Veronica), Jennifer Pisula (Steve) and Taylor Singleton (Parker); his godchildren, Josh Coleman and Katie Painter; his grandchildren, Breanna Newton, David Newton, Isabella Newton, Julia Newton, Kiara Evans, Rachel Pisula, Kalista Pisula and Cyrus Singleton; his great grandchildren, Maverick Newton and Maddox Newton; his sister Janice Beasley; and his grandfather Jim.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim's memory to K-Love Radio Station.
