He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Clay and Eleanor Ruth McGaughey (Hester); his siblings, Ray McGaughey and Joan Goff (Kennard); and his brother-in-law Kevin Carrington.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy McGaughey, Patty Butler (Dan), Ted McGaughey (Vonda), Deanna Carrington, Dan McGaughey (Betty), Loretta Patterson, Jimmy McGaughey (Candy), Lynette Hedgepath (Kevin), Rita Wacker, Jerry McGaughey (Page), David McGaughey (Tammy), Mike McGaughey (Holle) and Cary McGaughey (Jen); his sister-in-law Linda McGaughey; his uncle Jim; and his aunt Marilyn Hester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As Doug was very instrumental in maintaining the US and Indiana flags that fly on the main block of Russellville, cash donations can be made to the "Town Flag Fund" in memory of Doug.
