She was predeceased by: her parents, Augusta Wright (Stephens) and Lester Buchanan; her brothers, Carley and Charles Buchanan; her stepbrothers, Marvin and William Wright; her half-brothers, Ira and Harold Wright; her sister Elizabeth Dice; her stepsister Leida Ball; and her half-sisters, Nancy Farthing and Ruth Ann Sorrell.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie G. Koors of Greensburg, Peggy Scott (Larry) of Rushville, Margaret Smith (Tim) of Laurel, Paul C. Smith Jr. of Rushville and David Smith (Margaret) of Waldron; her stepdaughter Sue Stratton (Chester) of Springfield, OH; and her stepdaughter-in-law Twila Smith of Hillsboro, OH.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
