He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oliver and Virginia Gridley (Popp); his wife Deborah Sue Blom (Multner); and his daughter Laura Becktel. He is survived by: his former spouse Jeanmarie Benedict; his daughter Anna "Huggy" Gridley (Noah Gabbard) of Rushville; his son-in-law James Becktel of Indianapolis; his siblings, Mary Jo Custer (Verlin) of Rush County and Jim Gridley (Charlotte) of Greenwood; and his grandchild Addyson "A. R.".
