James Van Evans Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Van Evans (Rushville, Indiana), who passed away on December 14, 2019 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Evans and Betty Evans (Knecht); and his sister Susan J. Jones. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Walker (Purcell); his son Michael Gene Evans of Sellersburg; his stepsons, Scott Walker of Rushville and Jason Walker (Valeri) of Terre Haute; his siblings, Nancy A. Leising (Robert) of Milroy, Margie Cordray (Clyde) of Evansville, Diane Stevenson of Phoenix, Bettigene Gilpin (Jerry) of Rushville and William F. Evans (Regina) of Rushville; and his grandchildren, Austin Walker, Brandon Walker, Taylor Young (Luke), Brenan Walker, Ethan Walker, Chance, Zaine, Braityn and Elli Bentley.
