It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Scott of Rushville, Indiana, who passed away on May 26, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Scott and Gertrude Scott (Chance); his son Robert R. Scott; and his brother Max Scott. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Scott (Ash); his children, James A. "Andy" Scott of Rushville, Christopher "Chris" Scott of Rushville, Angie Asbury (Harvey) of Greensburg, Julie A. Westover (Jerry) of Louisville, KY and Sara Leap (Alan) of Flatrock; his daughter-in-law Angela Scott of Carmel; his brother Joseph C. Scott (Catherine) of Grand Junction, CO; his uncle Joe Chance (Rosie) of Rushville; his grandchildren, Evan Scott, Josh Scott (Ashley), Amanda Greenway (David), Kaila Gaitan (Nick), Katie Rankin, Jacob Westover, Erin Scott, Rachel Leap, Hannah Leap, Joy Blakely (Cameron) and Lydia Asbury; his great grandchildren, Matthew Scott, Lukas Scott, Nathan Scott, Lucy-Allen Greenway, Maliyah Gaitan, Skylar Gaitan, Scarlett Blakely, Jackson Blakely and Harrison Blakely; and his pet Annie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or the Rushville Animal Shelter.
