He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Thompson and Willie D. Thompson (Davis); his spouse Neppie L. Jackson; and his siblings, Roosevelt, Joe U, Chester D. Thompson, Eddie Minter, Bedell Blue and Anna McClendon.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Marian Kea of Akron, OH and Barbara Ann Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
