He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Proffitt and Cecil Proffitt; his wife Donna "Sue" Bloom; and his sister Eva. He is survived by: his daughter Autumn Basham (EJ) of Rushville, IN; his grandchildren, Lexi, Gracie and Hailey; and his siblings, Mae Scalf, Jean Riggs, Ray and Kenneth Proffitt.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Todd Funeral Centre (1600 IN-3, Rushville, IN 46173). The military honors was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rushville American Legion (221 N Perkins St, Rushville, IN 46173).
