She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Sterrett and Bessie Sterrett (Conklin); her stepgranddaughter Brooke Day; and her brother-in-law Tim Zimmerman. She is survived by: her husband Kevin J. Cowell; her sons, Chad Walker (Corina) and Wade Walker (Stephine); her stepdaughter Jami Godard (Jason); her siblings, Jan Riley (John), Judi Zimmerman, Terry Sterrett (Barb) and Chuck Sterrett (Judy); her grandchildren, Kristie, Peri and Hannah; her stepgrandchildren, Jordyn, Darren, Sarah, Matthew, Corissa and Austin; and her pets, Saydee and Tilly. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren.
