He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Howard and Janet Florine Carlson (Mull); his stepfather Preston Tincher, Jr.; and his son Christopher Hansel. He is survived by: his wife Dianna Lynn Richardson; and his children, Michael P. Carlson, Jr. (Julie) of Bringhurst, Joseph P. Carlson of Lafayette and Tonya Sue McClaine (Sam) of Lebanon. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Grandchildren, and one brother.
