He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ford and Norma Ford (Fuqua); and his stepson Eric Balding. He is survived by: his wife Donna Jansen; his stepchildren, Melissa Rodriguez (David) and Brad Balding (Sarah); and his siblings, Don Ford, Clifton Ford and Bonnie Ford. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Darrell's name to the Food Pantry of Newton County.
