She was predeceased by: her father Charles V. Herzog; her husbands, David Monk and Kenneth Rushing; and her siblings, Clarabelle Zimmerman, Jim Lee Herzog and Gilbert "Bubb" Herzog.

She is survived by: her son Rodley DeWayne Monk (Stephanie Ann) of Rosedale; her grandchildren, Hailey Brown, Cynthia Goodhart, Samantha Baize and Ciara Monk; and her close friend Edith Bryan.
