He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Korty and Marian Korty (Allgeier) of Lafayette, Indiana.; his wife Elizabeth E. "Betty" Windler of Oxford, IN; and his siblings, David Korty, Juliann Eickholtz and Bernadette Korty.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Hoefer (Louis) of Lafayette, Catherine Linn (Chad) of Greenfield, IN, Carolyn McKinnis (Phil) of Lafayette, Angela Munroe (Bob) of Southgate, MI and Jerry Korty (Laney) of Cleveland, OH; his siblings, Helen Beiswanger (Harold) of Monticello, Steve Korty (Pam) of Lafayette, Lucy Tormoehlen of Shelbyville, Dorothy Thise (Mark) of Lafayette, Herman Korty (Karen) of Lafayette, Jane Synovec (Roger) of O'Fallon, MO, Norbert Korty, Jr. (Leah) of Lafayette, Isidore Korty of Lafayette, Tom Korty (Nancy) of Mulberry and Ruth Grider (Fred) of Kokomo; and his siblings-in-law, Annette Korty of Lafayette and Raymond Eickholtz of Charlestown, IN. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
