In loving memory of Susie J. Hochstetler of Rome City, Indiana, who departed this world on March 24, 2025 at the age of 84. Susie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Hostetler and Emma Hostetler (Eash); her sons, Alan Ray Hochstetler and Mark Wayne Hochstetler; and her siblings, Levi, Henry, Jacob, Jerry Jr., Amos Hostetler, Rachel Hochstetler, Fannie Hostetler, Esther Hochstetler and Lizzie Ann Borkholder.
She is survived by: her husband Wilbur M. Hochstetler; her children, James Lee Hochstetler (Alberta), Marlin Hochstetler of Vermontville, MI, Judith Singer (David) of Syracuse, Sue Etta Hochstetler of Syracuse, Emma Jean Coblentz (Andy) of Clare, MI and Amelia Kay Overholt (John) of Kalona, IA; her daughters-in-law, Sue Anna Hochstetler of Rome City and Rose Hochstetler of Kalona, IA; and her sisters, Anna Ard, Lucy Fry of Syracuse, Emma Troyer (Erwin) of LaGrange, Martha Haab (Don) of Syracuse and Amelia Fry of Shipshewana. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Family's Residence (890 E Northport Rd, Rome City, IN 46784). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at the Scenic Hills Cemetery (11200 N 200 E, Rome City, IN 46784).
