He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Floyd Patrick and Dorthy Patrick (Kendall); his daughters, Virginia Ellis (Robert) of Rome City and Angela Patrick (Mark Frye) of Kendallville; his grandchildren, Macey Koger, Tyson Fike and Quinn Ellis; and his siblings, Sandra VanWormer of Wayland, Amanda Shumacher (Rodney) of Martin, Raina Oldebecken (Jeffrey) of Shelbyville, Michigan, Stan Patrick of Kalamazoo, Luke Patrick of Michigan and Marvin Patrick.
