He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Chester and Margaret Chester (Parrot); and his wife Carolyn Sue Harpel. He is survived by: his children, Angela Chester (Greg Renno) of Fort Wayne, Sarah Schultis (Mike) of Kendallville, Nadia Chester (Ryan Thompson) and Timothy Chester (Cherylyn) of Missoula, Montana; his grandchildren, Adam, Athena, Ryan, Audrey, Jayma, Rayanne, Malaya and Simone; his great grandchildren, Carmen, James and Milo; his sisters, Beverly Castator (Wade) of Waterloo and Barbara Cassel of Wolcottville; his sisters-in-law, Luanne Shull (Gary) of Kendallville, Beth Walter (Rod) of Huntertown, Gemini Spears of Minnesota and Judy Starrett of Topeka; and his grandchildren, Sean, Natalie, Johnie, Lydia and Nakita. He is also survived by his wife, they were foster parents for 69 children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
