She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lester Desch and Alvina "Bonnie" Desch (Wendel); her grandparents, William and Christina Wendel; her aunts, Tillie Pyle (Fred) and Nettie Schroeder (John); her husband Joe Patton; and her children, Deborah Gildea (John), Rhonda O'Connor (Brian), Joe "David" Patton (Kelly), John Patton (Nancy) and James "Jim" Patton (Julie). She was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
