She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Wallen and Edna Wallen (Sparkman); her son Tracy S. Yates; her grandchildren, Cody Kurtz and Calan Feller; her great grandchild Karma Star Davidson; her siblings, Connie Warnock and Richard Wallen; her mother-in-law Ruth Kurtz; and her brothers-in-law, James Pierson and Bud Kurtz.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Kurtz; her children, Angela Easterday of Avilla, Jackie Feller (Mark) of LaGrange, William Yates (Julie) of Kendallville, Barrett Yates of Kelso, Phillip Yates (Jodi) of Shipshewana, Gradis Yates (Regina) of Auburn and Timothy Yates (Tracy) of Kendallville; her stepchildren, Cathy Allen (Perry) of Orland, Karen Kugler (Joe) of South Milford, Chris Kurtz (Lori) of Orland and Scott Kurtz Orland (Terri); her siblings, Wanda Pierson of Kendallville, Ronnie Wallen (Shirley) of Kendallville and Don McDaniel of Lincolnton; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Kurtz of Orland and Diane Rumsey of Orland. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild.
