He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Handshoe and Dollie Handshoe (Griffith); his daughter Marlana Handshoe; and his siblings, Cledis Handshoe, Buford Handshoe, Herman Handshoe, Therman Handshoe, Daniel Handshoe and Reva Livergood.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Handshoe of Rome City; his sons, Hershel Edward Handshoe (Alicia) of Stroh and David Lee Handshoe (Wini) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Keisha Boyer of Kendallville, Sheila Campbell of Rome City, Matt Handshoe (Megan) of Kendallville and Tabitha Pratt (Chris) of Portsmouth, Ohio; and his siblings, Arnold Handshoe of Hueysville, Johnny Handshoe (Linda) of LaGrange and Trudy McClish (Bill) of Hudson. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
