He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald R. Hoover and Jessie Naomi Hoover (Gaff); his daughter Mary Michelle Hoover; his grandson Curtis Donald Hoover; his great grandchild Lybie Miller; and his sister Claudine King.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Marie Ackerman; his sons, Jeffrey Hoover (Kim) of Wawaka, Douglas Hoover (Karen) of Howe and Stephen Hoover (Stacy) of Richland Center, Wisconsin.; and his sisters, Pauline Ross and Colleen Culbertson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
