He was predeceased by: his parents, George Michael and Evelyn Josephine Marter (Many); and his siblings, Kathryn Anne Marter, Peggy Marter and Dennis Marter.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie Marter of Rome City; his children, Jenny Reynolds of Ridgecrest, Becky Rose of Ridgecrest, Janet Lundberg of Elkhart and Michael Marter of Wolcottville; and his brother Joseph Marter (Tisha) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
