He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Myers Cooper and Royce Cooper; his siblings, Jack Cooper (Lela) and Doris Loy (Bill); and his son-in-law Mike Busenbark.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Weaver Cooper; his daughter Pam Busenbark; his grandchildren, Jeremy Busenbark (Tiffany) and Staci Pharr (Derek); and his great grandchildren, Garrick, Brysten, Myla and Baylee Busenbark. He is also survived by two nieces, one nephew and several cousins.
