She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis B. Pawley and Elva B. Warner Pawley; her husband Donald Cole Smith; and her siblings, Donald Pawley and Wilma Hoover.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Smith (Lee Ann) of Roanoke, Jeff Smith of Dennison, Illinois and Michaela Smith of Rockville; and her grandchildren, Stefanie Pickett, Blythe Vining, Zachary Smith and Nathan Smith. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
