He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Elmer and Mary Adams of Virginia; his wife Shelby; his son Darryl Adams; his stepchildren, Teresa Gunn and Scott Gunn; his brother Gerald Adams; his friend Charles "PeeWee" Gentry; his children, Sherry Barnhart of Little Rock, Shelly Cooper (Paul) of Dale and Dale Adams (Martha); his stepchildren, Julie Blissett and Tommy Gunn (Chris) of Rockport, Indiana; his grandchildren, Tricia Larsen (Jeff), Cassandra Adams, Bridget Wells (Lucas), Sarah Adams, Marie Adams, Dale Adams, Derek Lowery, Drew Lowery (Rachel), Caleb Barnhart (Jon), Gabriel Barnhart (Jenna) and Lyonel Cooper (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Marquis Adams, Jasmyn Adams, Noah Larsen, Tobias Larsen, Bentley Wells, Kieren Wells, Mario Watkins Jr., Mia Blissett, Vivien Hofmann, Merritt Barnhart and Ellis Barnhart; and his sister Judy Green. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Indiana ALS Association.
