He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Franklin and Katherine Montgomery (Scherer); his siblings, Dean and Francis Ann; his parents-in-law, Emerson and Ina Mae Roth; and his son-in-law Mark Cowans.
He is survived by: his wife Mellodee; his children, Rod Montgomery Tonia (Paula) and Tanya Cowans; his grandchildren, Ella and Claire Montgomery; and his children, Jed, Casex, MaeLee Ambs, Sadie McCoy, Wyatt, Mellodee and Sofia Cowans. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
