He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Ruth Willis (Lester); and his siblings, Gene, Russel, Robert "Jack", Gurly Willis, Shirley Willis, Mary and Lucille.
He is survived by: his children, Danny E. Willis of Rockport and Sherry Pogue of Owensboro; his grandson Joseph M. Pogue Jr.; his wife Dottie of Hartford; and his great grandchildren, Trevor Joseph of Hartford and Dessa Rose Pogue of Hartford.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
