He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred R. "Butch" Ahrens and Eleanor Ahrens (Stremming). He is survived by: his wife Cornelia Ahrens of Rockport, IN; his children, Sharon Coussens (David) of Little Rock, AR., Steve Ahrens (Stacy) of Evansville, IN. and Keith Ahrens (Kimberly) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Caroline Coussens, David Coussens, Kendyl Ahrens, Austin Ahrens (Riley), Ali Ahrens, Kramer Daugherty (Travis), Peyton Ahrens and Keaton Ahrens; and his great grandchildren, Kahlo and Quincy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Symphonic Band, Trinity United Methodist Church and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
