He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ayer (Bretz); his son David Stuart Ayer; and his siblings, Carol Baker (Bruce) of Newburgh, IN, Sharon Szabo (Gene) of New Buffalo, MI and Donald Ray Ayer (Lois) of Dale, IN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
