He was predeceased by: his wife Oletta Elschide; his brother Clyde Elschide; and his stepson Henry Jefferies. He is survived by: his daughters, Tonja Louden (Gary Purviance) of Grandview and Michele Bittles (Thomas) of Tamaroa; and his grandchildren, Kendra Wike, Richard Taylor, Brittany Pitman (Nigel) and Thomas Bittles II (Brianna).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
