He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mildred Iris Brooker Hudkins; his wife Lillian L. Mahler; his daughter Jane Schuldberg of Newport, NC; his brother Virgil Hudkins (Sue) of Rochester; his close friend Jean Simpson of Rochester; his grandchildren, Rebecca Peterman, Jeremy Hudkins, Jennifer Lovick and Jeffrey Kerley; his sons, James E. "Jim" Hudkins and Richard "Dick" Hudkins; his father William Hudkins; his siblings, Mary Ellen Hudkins George, Don, George, Jerry and John P.; and also, Judy Swank and Priscilla Ballee. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
