With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jay A. Heyde of Rochester, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Jay has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest R. Heyde and Frances Knox Heyde (Esther); and his brothers, Russell and James Heyde (Beverly Jean Heyde). He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Johnson (Paul), Tracey Nally, Kimberley Hoppes (Bob) and Gwyn Green (late Bryan). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jay Heyde Memorial Fund through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, P.O. Box 807, Rochester, Indiana, 46975, to help support basic needs of children in Rochester Community Schools.
