As Charles departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles A. Burns. He is survived by: his mother Marjorie Gill Burns of Daytona Beach; his daughter Melanie Grossman (Jeff) of New Haven; his grandchildren, Brooke Helton (Garrett Foust), Paige Mueller (Mark) and Peyton Helton; his sisters, Charlene Harrison (Terry) of Rochester, Vickey Heckert of Virginia Beach, VA, Valerie Hamman (Marc) of Rochester and Annie Green (Seth Greenstein) of Port Orange, FL; and also Willa Bea Shriver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Good Family Funeral Home (1200 W 18th St, Rochester, IN 46975). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
