She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Gerber and Ada Gerber (Heyerly); her husband Edwin E. Hegerfeld; and her siblings, Joseph Gerber and Susan "Sue" Kipfer.
She is survived by: her son Clark Hegerfeld of Roanoke; and her sisters, Gladys Gerber of Bluffton, Virginia Gerber of Bluffton, Martha Gentis (Rex) of Bluffton and Marcella Dillman of Bluffton. She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
