He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ward and Martha Ward (Resler); his wife Nancy Shenefield (Lancaster); and his half-sister Phyllis Ayres. He is survived by: his children, Chris Shenefield (Laura Faust) of Lompoc, CA, Leslie Ward of Roanoke, Melanie Dager of Fort Wayne, Loretta Barton of Huntington and Bridget Shenefield of Wabash. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
