He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Knowling and Vera Knowling (Hancock); his daughter Debbie Knowling; his siblings, Carolyn "Susie" Hedrick, Maryann McClure, Cindy Lou Knowling, Teddy Knowling and Hobie Knowling; his nephews, Shawn Storm and Derek Knowling; and his son-in-law David A. VanSickle.
He is survived by: his children, Saralea Gibson (Dave), Rick Knowling (Lisa) and Nanetta Jo VanSickle; his grandchildren, Dustan Lyons (Amee), Darrin Lyons, Blake Knowling (Hanna) and Logan Zeller (Gage); his great grandchildren, Rhett, Ruthlynn Knowling, Easton and Hazel Zeller; and his siblings, Bonnie Storm (John) and Toby Knowling (Catherine). He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
