He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Louise Martin; his children, William "Trey" Clifton (Barbara) and Debra "Dee" Thies (Rob); his grandchildren, Jennifer Thies Reed (Todd), Dr. Sarah Clifton McMullen (Greg), Justin Thies (Sammi) and Dr. Leah Clifton Sinclair (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Ayden Reed, Trenton Thies, Ayverie Reed Austin Thies, Ava McMullen, Evie McMullen, Aycen Reed, Isla McMullen, Lily Sinclair and Trevor William Sinclair; his sister Audrey Bovard (late Dick); his brother-in-law Charles Martin; his niece Dr. Tammy Schwing (Scott); and his nephew Trevor Bovard (Micky).

Memorial donations may be made to Rising Sun Church of Christ, Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #6 or to Loving Hearts Hospice.
