He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Lawson (Abbott) and John Arless Lawson; his stepmother Geneva Lawson; his children, Anthony "Tony" Lawson, Tina Lawson and Robin Lawson; and his siblings, Jim Lawson, Jack Lawson, Arthur Lawson, Opal Harris (Pete Harris) and Sandra Trammell.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Lawson of Rising Sun, IN; his daughters, Stephanie Kilburn (Myron) of Rising Sun, IN and Sandra McCracken (Bryan) of Rising Sun, IN; his siblings, Dale Lawson of Dillsboro, IN, Brenda Murray of Bethel, OH, Glenda Franks of Dallas, TX and Teresa West of Stearns, KY; and his brother-in-law Bruce Trammell of Pineknot, KY. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
