He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Ballou (Neal) and Glen Ballou. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ballou (Walton) of Rising Sun, IN; his daughter Darla Ballou Newlander (Jeff) of St. Johns, FL; his granddaughter Rhianna Newlander; his sisters, Carolyn Bledsoe, Geraldine Grecco, Patty Clanton, Glenda Faye Huegel (Tom) and Debbie Reeves (Danny); and his brother-in-law Gary Walton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
