He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Koons (Pat) and Ilene Koons. He is survived by: his daughter Lori Koons (Dan Sheets) of Milan Indiana; his wife Dorothy Koons (New) of Rising Sun; his son Bill Koons (Kelly) of Rising Sun; his grandchildren, Chad Koons (Alicia) of Stone Mountain, Savannah Cox (Travis) of Lexington, KY, Olivia Koons of Danville, IN, Seth Koons of Rising Sun, IN, Myles Koons of Rising Sun, IN and Leah Koons of Rising Sun, IN; his great grandchildren, Artie, Avia, Gentry, Quinn and Frankie; and his siblings, Daniel Koons (Beverly) of Rising Sun, Patricia Romans (Leon) of Aurora Indiana and Mary Reynolds (Clarence) of Seymour Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markland Funeral Home (327 N High St, Rising Sun, IN 47040). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at the Rising Sun New Cemetery.
