It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Caplinger (Rising Sun, Indiana), who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Foutty (Hughes) and George Harris Foutty; her husband Wayne Caplinger; her son Jerry Caplinger; and her siblings, Bill, Joe, James Foutty and Margaret Fields.
She is survived by: her son Thomas Caplinger of Rising Sun, IN; her grandchildren, Jerri Lynn Jackson (Ronald), Michelle Caplinger, Rachel Webb (Jim), Tom Caplinger (Erin) and Kristen Earls (Brian); her great grandchildren, Shelby, Derek, Aulden, Dillon, Marla Jo, Bella, Jaxon, Nate, Haley, Emily, Audrey and Owen; and her siblings-in-law, JoAnn Caplinger, Mary Foutty, Saundra Gurly, Faye Caplinger and Gary Caplinger (Pam). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
