He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Vest (Abbott) and John R. Vest, Sr.; and his sister Patricia Glasgow. He is survived by: his wife Dinah Vest (Mazgay) of Rising Sun, IN; his daughter Cindy Scherch (Sam) of Centerville, OH; his grandchildren, Stephen (Kelsey), Alex, Ryan, Lauren, Abigail and Maxwell (Morgan); and his great grandchildren, Sophie, Max and Caleb.
