With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Joy Ames (Rising Sun, Indiana), who passed away on September 16, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Mae Murray (Fry) and Edward Clyde Murray; her husband Sunny Ames; her siblings, June Siekman, Vernon "Sox" Murray and Walter Murray; her siblings-in-law, Bonnie Murray, Donald Siekman and Donald Burress; and her nephews, Gary Siekman and Terry Siekman.
She is survived by: her sister Kay Burress of Rising Sun, IN; and her nieces and nephews, Mikel Murray (Belinda), Maria Murray, Steve Kapetanakis, Greg Kapetanakis (Lisa), Sonya Salisbury (Steve), Debbie Walton (Steve), Randy Murray (Monica), Pam Mills and Dennis Murray. She is also survived by her family and treated her nieces and nephews like her own children.
