He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Elmer Hudgins and Claudia Elizabeth Hudgins (Jones); his grandson John Charles Godwin; his siblings, Randy Hudgins and Earlaine Kelley; and his brother-in-law Eddie Storey.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hudgins (Meredith); his daughters, Melissa Godwin (Steve) of Birmingham, Sandra Whitney (James) of Hope and Claudia Sears (Ryan) of Rising Sun; his siblings, Ross Hudgins (Marsha) of Fairview, Tommy Hudgins (Rhonda) of Fairview and Linda Storey of Goodlettsville, TN; his grandchildren, Samantha Whitney, Victoria Godwin Partain, Ashley Sears, Jennifer Whitney, Americus Sears and Kristen Whitney; and his great grandchild PJ Garcia.
