She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest L. Modesitt and Frances Hull Modesitt; her husband Edward Wyatt Hylton; and her siblings, Wayne Modesitt, Elaine Collins, Alvin Modesitt and Barb Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Ivin Hylton (Nina), Deanna Lawson (Mike), Dawn Juraskovich (Marty) and Merri Daniel; her grandchildren, Ciara Lawson (Brendan), Denise Laverty (Mike) and Brock Daniel; her great grandchild Sami Laverty; and her siblings-in-law, Ray Collins, Barb Modesitt and Sandy Auler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
