He is survived by: his sons, Evan Riley and Erik Michael Van Meter (Debbie) of Lexington, NC; his siblings, Vaughn Evan Van Meter of Richmond, Ellen Van Meter-Mabry (David), Sherri Brown of Richmond and Marlyn Hill (Doug) of Houston, TX; his nieces and nephews, Vasqueral (Russell Mabry), Tyson (Robert Van Meter), Robert, Ashley and Andrea "Muff" (Jalyn Van Meter-Jackson); and his close friends, Lee Ann Goeke, Vicky Neal, Eric Holmes, Bill McGathey, Cathy, Williams, Dewayne Eaton, Mike Foust, Richard Robinson, Darlene, Everett, Barry Bickel and Kelsey Mayes. He is also survived by great-great nieces, nephews and cousins.
